My max DL speed is 156kbps. Which is hardly anything these days. I can watch youtube, as long as I set it 240p or less. I live in the U.S., but I live on the outskirts of town. It might be possible for me to get faster net, but I don't have the money right now. I wish I could get 100 megabits per second. I could acutally DL my steam games without wating for days. It took like 2 or 3 days for Shadow Warrior(the remake) to download.

Yeah I'm using DSL. I think its possible for me to get higher speeds, but I don't have the money for faster speed. I'll have to look around though. Holy shit, speeds of almost 1Gbps. Damn wish I had those speeds. Though even 25mbps would be fine for me. Though if I could get 1Gpbs, I'd take it. I could DL so many games in so much less time.

D's connection technically is 1Gbps Singtel. Actual speeds are virtually always less.

Hmmm 50/20Mbps would cost me $60au p/m on 12 month contract, wifi hub + modem is $1au

Actually, to get a static IP and low latency I need to pay another $10au p/m So that's $1au upfront for hardware and then $70au p/m.

^1.1Gbps fixed wireless trial (that was at the city less than 20 minutes from me), apparently 100Mbps will be available next year.

This is an estimate wait time for my DL. Of course when actually DL games from steam, I hit about 1.1Mbps, which is a bit better, but not by much at all.

Well I play console games and mostly buy physical. Still have to download updates (not always necessary though tbh) and the odd DLC but it's much faster this way overall.
Plus easy, quick setup...turn it on and jump on the couch. Also if I get sick of something I can trade.

Doesn't bother me that it's corded, I mean I leave my PS3 & 4 controllers hooked up all the time anyway simply because they don't have removable batteries (unlike 360).

I also play a lot of physical/console games as well. Steam has great deals, but its not so great, when you have to wait forever to DL a game you got. I also need more HDDs.

I do have some PSN digital titles (I mean I have plus but I have purchased a few odd things too), but yeah my net is so slow I'd rather be using it for pirating other things
