    vivi, how much did that rig run you up? and....2.0 ghz? and still able to run bf2 at max settings? its cuz its amd isn't it

    Yeah, Athlon 64 is much cooler than P4.

    that 3200 runs like a p4 3.2ghz.

    They are made diffirently.

    so then i am making the right decision. my next pc will be an amd. roughly, bout 2K. i'm beginning to turn my back on p4's now.

    AMD Athlon 64 4000+
    60GB Raptor HD (Might actually be 80)
    300GB Maxtor 16mb Cache IDE.

    I love that thing we tab in and out of Doom 3 instantly.

    The Grand Total for his was like 1,700.

    With all my Hds and stuff I got a rough estimate of 640 for mine.

    Without the moniter and speaks and accesories.

    thats IT!?! the one i want is almost 2K and the cpu will be amd, so mine would be a monster too huh. oh i can't wait! *gets excited*

    I built mine though, and building is ALOT cheaper.

    is it? i never thought of building one. i get paranoid and assume i may fuck something up even though i did well in most of my classes in CTS.

    Mine was like less than 700 CAD, so like 600 US. I might get an AMD 4000+ because of the 1mb cache, and i'm getting my X1600XT 256Mb sometime soon. The 6800GS was a bit better, but too expensive for nothing. (249$ compared to 206$ for the X1600XT 256Mb)
