Slightly off topic,but on the subject of Dreamcast emulators,can any of the above correctly run Skies of Arcadia? I tried to run it on Chankast (or maybe it was NullDC with Chankast Cheater jerry rigged to it) a few years ago,but the VMU file would always get corrupted during gameplay,and that caused the game to crash when opening the menu. It was so bad that I could only comfortably open the menu at save points and had to abandon it.

The game was ported to the GameCube and from the looks of the compat chart the game works fine providing the settings are corrected as shown on the compat info https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.p...rcadia_Legends

My PC isn't nearly strong enough to run a 3D game in Dolphin,I was lucky to get to the end of Thousand Year Door,and I still couldn't get past all the final boss crashes. Arcadia's just going to have to go back on my "probably never"pile.

Cheap Wii console. Softmod. Download and play Wii + Gamecube games.
You can even get cheap controllers and memory cards.

The most expensive thing should be an ext HDD, if you don't already have one you can use.

I love that Wii of mine

You can actually use a USB pad with GC games, I use a PS2 pad via USB on my Wii for emulators and GC games sometimes though mostly just use GC pads but I did own the GC before I got a Wii

Hacking is so easy to do and running from a USB HDD just works in fact it has faster load times (asides from the USB forwarder Channel, Homebrew Channel and the default channels I run everything from my USB HDD)

Wii covers a lot of systems not just Wii and GameCube

The Wii is one of the best consoles to emulate on

Not only do you get the normal PSX N64 and older systems on it but you also get to play lightgun games with a Wii Mote acting as a Light Gun for those fav 8bit and 16bit console shooters

Most Emulators support GC pads but some also support USB pads also, USB Pad support was added mostly for newer versions of the Wii that lack the GC ports but it is still best to have GC ports for both pads and Memcards

Not just console games either Dos box and various PC game ports have been made, like DooM and SCUMMVM as well as tons of others

Plenty of Dreamcast games did get ported over to the GameCube, not all but a good selection of them did
