Default Metal gear solid twin snakes disc 2

So I downloaded the first disk for the game and everything ran fine (sans a few graphic issues) until I reached the point where you are told to insert the second disk. I ran the second disk and it simply ran the first disk, as in it was the same game. I do not know if there is some memory card issue I am unaware of as this is the first 2 disk game I have played. I am using dolphin on mac if that is important, but I can also use windows if there is not another option. I saw in another thread some created a save for someone to use, so if that were possible I would appreciate that.

    Don't turn off the emulator. That's 1.

    2. Don't load the same disc into the emulator. You may have turned off the emulator, ejected the disc, and put in the same disc by mistake.

MGS can't boot from disc 2 to continue play unfortunately (I am sure you are already aware of this though)

Not sure what help is given in the previous post

Anyway Compat notes list the game as working though test results are from the Windows port and no notes on any multi disc issues from using the Change Disc option (that is in the File menu)

Does this do the same thing if you try to boot Disc 2 then go to load a Disc 1 save (That should ask for Disc 1 to be inserted) [Stay as Disc 2 even after using the Change disc option]

Memcard issues, don't see why a memcard would have any effect in the direction of this issue...

Actually, this is a help section. Posting for the sake of it is of no help, so please, refrain from doing it.

With the PAL release, I'm pretty sure it's possible to:
1: save the game in the last aera of the disc 1 ( after beating sniper wolf)
2: launch the game with the disc2 and continue your journey.

Did this a lot on the wii and dolphin.

3: If you go to dolphin keyboard shortcuts there is a key combination to switch discs ingame wich works.
