Bought these CDs a couple of days ago, I hope that counts /:

Mantiocora- Selftitled, I assume. It's a promotional CD, not for sale. Probably why it was so cheap, but it's a full-lenght CD, with good stuff

TOOL- nima. Great album, possibly the best I've heard from TOOL, and in general.

Dream Theater- Scenes From a Memory

Dream Theater- Once in a LIVE Time

Dream Theater- Live Scenes in New York

I too, am fond of Dream Theater Haven't heard "Live Scnes" yet, though.

I went to see Terminator 3 this afternoon, on the way I dropped by HMV and finally purchased:

    Metallica - Kill 'Em All

I had to dig into the 'Buffy Season 2 DVD' fund, but what the hell, I'll just ask for it for my birthday in four weeks time...

    Field trips are cool.

Our class went to Auckland on the train, after less than ten minutes where we had to draw pictures of buildings and things (or in my case, let other people do it for me), I buggered off and bought:

The Mars Volta - Tremulant EP
    Adolescents - Adolescents
    Porcupine Tree - Metanoia

I have no idea why I can't find the De-Loused In The Comatorium album by The Mars Volta, or anything by At The Drive-In, but it's all good anyway. I'll order them later. What I didn't previously realise about the Adolescents CD is that it not only includes the self-titled Adolescents album, but also the Welcome To Reality EP and Rikk Agnew's All By Myself solo album. I got it cheap too. Huzzah.

Metanoia was a bit of a disappointment though, the problem with improvised muysic is that it can end up incredibly long and boring, especially when it's prog meanderings...

I got Weird Al's new thing, Poodle Hat. It's pretty funny, although some of the parodies are as hard to listen to as the origionals because of the music.

    Evanescence - Fallen

HMV has very few good CDs that aren't quite expensive.

Bought Dream Theater - Awake today.

The shops here suck, we have like one shop that exclusively has metal and rock kind of stuff, but it didn't carry any Dream Theater, Queensrche, Pain of Salvation, Angra....the list of bands that i expected they would have goes on, the majority of the bands i listen to aren't that well known to most people, but i thought the one shop that exclusively carries rock, metal, and genres related would have atleast one album that i was after today.

Anyway, enough of my bitching, i went to MVC, it has some rock/metal stuff but mostly mainstraim, but then i saw the Dream Theater name while sifting through the albums. I think i'm going to go here more often, if you look hard enough you can find some good stuff, and they offer to order a CD in for you if they don't have it, while as that other shop just say that they don't have it, and i think the guy at the counter is stoned, looks like pretty good stuff...
