The two X-Men movies are my Favs right now. Im prolly forgeting something, but they both ruled. Maybe the first Star Wars Trilogy. The second one isnt that good right.

U guys have a verry narrow perspective: the matrix movies are good only because they'r new! They won't last in time!
My fav. movie is The 5th element (it's not even american), the Star Wars and Dune sagas.

Oh but I disagree, while I don't think the sequel will last, I wholeheartedly believe the first will survive as a cult classic...

Truely great cinema, is that. The book, and indeed, the sequels are even better. The ideals of Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke in their vision of the future, and the fact that we have just passed through the timespan of 2001 itself only serve to add to its charm.
