Default What do the phrases 'EDC' and 'No EDC' mean on PSX files?

Hi, this is a great site!

I need some advice about PSX1 images please. I am currently starting to set up my Raspberry Pi 2 as a Retropie console, using an external SSD drive to store the game images. I have noticed that some images have 'EDC' and 'No EDC' against them - what does this mean and how does it affect the image? I want to be sure to obtain the one best suited to my Retropie setup. I did search, but I got no hits for 'EDC'.

Well known term to Disc Dumpers.

If you want the best images possible you want Redump, I have quite a few Redump images here in the forum.

Just check the masterlist and search for the word Redump.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
