Just wondering..(not intending to steal the thread in anyway but..) does anyone have RE1 for PSX? I have it for PC but i'd really like it for PSX. And also, whats the difference between Director's Cut and normal version?

Director's cut had a different map layout I know for sure, and director's cut for res 2 had rumble support.

From what I heard the PC Version was better, it had extra weapons and un-cut colored movies.
The PSX version didn't have any of that, the movies were cut and the opening was in black and white.
Directors Cut had different Music (which people dislike) and a bonus arranged mode.
Arranged Mode basically had all the items in different places, a few changed puzzles, etc..
IMO it wasn't all that wonderful, but it was something to keep you busy.
The PC Version is somewhat rare now, so you could very well be sitting on a gold mine.
People will do just about anything to get rare PC games, though they best not try it here.. hehe
In any case, you probably aren't missing out on anything. However this reminds me...
The Saturn version of RE had a extra Battle Mode, why it wasn't in the others i'm not sure..
If you want to go after any of em, that would probably be the version I suggest.
I don't own it though, nor even a Saturn for that matter, so I can't help much more than that.
I'm full of needless information though.

    Just to make some corrections

fro the psx there is the following resident evil titles:-

    Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 1 : Directors Cut
Resident Evil 1 : Directors Cut (Dual Shock Edition
    Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 2 (Dual Shock Edition)
    Resident Evil 3
    Resident Evil : Survivor
Resident Evil 1.5 sometimes refered to as Resident Evil 2 : Directors Cut or Resident Evil 2.0 or Resident Evil 2 Early Beta

resident evil 1 directors cut contains the original game aswell as the new mode which has improved graphics slight story linre changes alternate save places, ammo places , health places and maps

there is the original directors cut and dual shock version
there is no official directors cut of number 2

resident evil 1.5 is ULTRA-RARE it was only 75% or so complete and was scrapped featured different female character to claire but capcom felt it was to similar to the first game
petitions run for its release as resident evil 2 ; directors cut
