Default How to find/filter out quality roms

    Hi,

This might be a silly question. But I can't seem to find a good solution for it.

So I want a nice little emulation box that I can have in my living room or take with me to friends and play some old school games on.

But since this is just for casual fun, I don't want to have to browse through all of 600-ish nes roms.
I only want to have the "best games", I would like to be able to choose a game at random and it should be a some what okay game.

Is there any software that are able to filter by some rating system or have anyone compiled a nice "best-of-pack" (also for other systems)?

(Sorry about the noob question and forgive me if a broke any rules or posted in the wrong forum)

All I can say is grab the No-intro and Goodtools sets and start sorting, there is more good games than you think .
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Yeah, such a thing needs to filtered by hand. There will be games you'll like/dislike that simply don't conform with popular opinion.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

I see, I thought about doing something like that. I just hoped someone might have already done it for me.

But as you say, it all depends on taste. I guess I mostly want to avoid the awful games that are not worth bothering with.

I will begin the sorting, thanks for the No-intro and Goodtools tip!
