Melee had more nuance to its fighting, while brawl is only at a single level. As you got better in Melee, you can work on more advanced techniques such as wave-dashing and short hopping. Brawl...

What I hate the most about Brawl is how I couldn't copy my file over once my first wii died. That's just baloney, Nintendo. The cast was good, not great, but they do give you a lot of choices.
