Not sure how obscure this is, but I really like Emerson, Lake and Palmer's take on the Man in the Long Black Coat. It's pretty haunting.

It's a song about this old Swedish youth comic thingie that was sorta dropped after the author released an issue in which one of the main characters kids gets involved (hurr hurr) with an older man. Great stuff, though sadly not referenced in the song.
