Pokemon White: No Experience

I'm relatively new to ds emu; I'm running on DeSmuME 0.9.6. When I started the game, I keep fighting pokemon but to no avail my pokemon receive no exp. Does anyone know how to fix this? :\

That's an AP, patch your rom with this,
just drag the Pokemon White rom to OpenPatch.exe, and then choose the left option, then OK.

After that, you should get another rom with .BAK at the end, this is the backup of your original rom, so ignore it.
Just use the one with .nds at the end, which is the patched rom.
