Please help
I am new to this. I have just got my daughter a R4 card for her ds lite. I have search the iternet and got some roms. I have put the software on the card with some of the roms. I have unzipped them and put the NDS files on to the card. Some of the roms work and some dont. I have no idea what i am doing wrong. Please help she is driving me mad !!!!!!! I have noticed that the old roms work but the newer ones dont.

Some older ROM trimmers cut off too much data from the ROM and break download play, along with causing other issues. This includes R4DS Rom Trimmer 1.0.
R4DS ROM Trimmer 2.0 works better. However, NDSTokyoTrim is widely considered to be the best trimmer at this time.

If it's an old R4 card, the best firmware is Wood R4. It is updated frequently, and plays virtually all the latest games.

Yeah if the wood firmware works with your kit then thats your only real option, be aware though that not all R4 flash kits will work with Wood, R4 cards are cloned all over the place alot will work with Wood and alot will not.
I lost track of the R4 cards when the first official ones stopped updating then a flood of clones arrived a few claimed to be official or part of the original team too many claimed it to be honest...

My R4iblue is fake but works perfectly with this firmware! It's always being updated too!
