Mod Chip Alternative

Is there a program or something that I can burn onto cd and run through my psx as an alternative to a mod chip?

is there anyway we can make our own bootable cds for ps2 instead of ordering the chip from companies such as www.mod-chip.com ?'cause i'm interested in the actual making of the chip or the cd.

I now there's a CD mod chip for the PSX but is there one for PS2
